Welsh Dragon Photo Jigsaw Puzzle InstructionsThis is a jigsaw puzzle for the 5 to 7 year old age range, but probably more suited to the upper end of this age range. You have to assemble the 36 jigsaw pieces to make a photograph of a dragon with a castle behind it. The dragon is actually the Welsh dragon, the symbol on the flag of Wales in the United Kingdom. The castle in the background is the famous Cardiff Castle found right in the centre of Wale's capital city. Click the green GO! button to start the game. You will then see a 6 by 6 grid with a set of four jigsaw pieces to the right hand side of the screen. At the top and bottom of these pieces there are blue arrows that you can click on to scroll the set of pieces up and down. To place a jigsaw piece, click and drag it from the right hand side of the screen while holding down the mouse button and then place it in one of the squares that make up the picture by releasing the mouse button. If you get it in the right place, you will hear a noise and the piece will spin and then stick to the grid. If you get it wrong, your piece will zoom off back to it's original position and you will hear a warning noise. To see the complete photograph, move the mouse over the grid and it will fade in a bit. As soon as you move the mouse out of the grid again, it will disappear. You can restart the game at any time (or after you have finished the game) by clicking on the "Clear" button at the bottom left hand corner of the game screen. and every time you start the game, the jigsaw puzzle pieces at the right hand side of the screen will change positions. When you get all the pieces in their correct places then Trixie will appear. There are some tricky pieces in this puzzle, especially the wall blocks. If you need a more difficult puzzle, then look at the ones in the 8 to 10 years section. |
