Wordbomb Hangman Instructions:

This game is a hangman game with a twist. In the interests of decency, we won't hang a man. Instead we'll blow you up if you get it wrong!!

The game on this page will pick a random work from a huge dictionary, give you the definition and you then have to try and guess the word in the normal "hangman" fashion. The definition of the word is shown at the start of each new word and is available throughout the game by clicking on the "clue" button. Sometimes it is very helpful, other times it isn't!

The length of the words can be selected at the start of the game. Longer words are not necessarily harder as there are so many letters in some of them that it is hard to guess a wrong one...

If you guess a letter correctly you will hear a 'ping' and the letter will be shown below the picture. If you get a letter wrong, then it will be shown at the top right and the fuse will burn shorter. If you guess 8 wrong letters then the bomb will explode!!

For every word that you get correct, you will get a star. Get 5 stars in a row and you have won the game. Just click on the "restart" button at the top right of the screen to start the game again.

This is a great game for learning new words and improving your knowledge of the English language.
