Puzzle Pixies Licensing Conditions

One of the things I'm asked a lot is "Can I use your printables for...?" or "Can I use game ... in my website". This help page explains the rights that I give people to use the content from the Puzzle Pixies website.

Printables

Creative Commons License
The PDF printables and also the SVG printables such as the spot-the-difference work are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.5 License.

This means that you are legally free to print out as many copies as you like and distribute them, but for non-commercial use only, and you are not allowed to modify the image (to protect our name)

Non-commercial means that you cannot sell the printables (but a commercial company can print off and give away copies). If you are interested in selling them or including content in a commercial product such as a magazine, then please contact us using the Contact Us Main Menu item and we can come to a agreement. In most cases I'm happy to grant a license.

I consider Non-commercial use to mean that they are freely printable for personal use, educational use (schools can print them out), and use by registered charities.

Interactive Puzzles and Games

The interactive puzzles and games on the website are free to use online, but cannot be copied or hot-linked to by webpages outside of the puzzlepixies.com web domain. Interactive puzzles are provided purely for entertainment and education only.

If you are interested in licensing any of the content, then please contact us.

Artwork

Most of the artwork on this website are original designs. The only exception is a small number of pictures generated from artwork from the open clipart directory at www.openclipart.org which have a public license.

All Puzzle Pixies generated artwork is in SVG vector format which is then in most cases converted to a raster format such as png or jpeg. If you would like copies of the original files then please contact us. The artwork is likely to be licensed under a non-commercial Creative Commons License in the future.
