Dr Jekyll's Cylinder Puzzle
Dixie was visiting his friend Dr. Jekyll's laboratory when he accidentally drank some change potion and transformed into his evil alter-ego! Luckily Dr. Jekyll has some antidote left in a cylindrical glass vessel, but he knows that he must only give Dixie the amount of antidote that fills one quarter of the volume of the cylinder otherwise he will remain a monster forever! Unfortunately Dr. Jekyll destroyed all his measuring vessels the last time he turned into Mr. Hyde and all that is left is the glass cylinder containing the antidote (it is nearly full) and a soft pencil that can be used to mark the glass. With only these two items, how can you measure out the correct amount of antidote and return Dixie back to his lovable self ?!

To measure a quarter of the volume, find the half-full level as above and then set the cylinder upright. Using the pencil, mark where the top of the liquid is.
Then pour out small amounts of the liquid until you can tip the cylinder such that the liquid touches both the mark and the top of the cylinder base. You then have a quarter-full cylinder of antidote and can save Dixie!
