Pixie's Paper 'Plane GuideThis is Dixie Pixie's guide to making the fastest paper plane dart ever...1. Take a rectangular piece of paper (A4 or letter size is good). First of all, fold it sharply down the middle (fold 1) and then unfold it flat again. You should still be able to see the crease. 2. Fold the top right corner down so that it touches the middle crease. The top right edge should now be along the line marked as fold 2. 3. Do the same with the top left corner across fold 3. 4. You should now have a triangle shape at the top of your sheet of paper. Take the top of the triangle and fold it down along the fold 4 line so that the tip touches the base of the triangle. 5. You should now have the shape shown to the right. Fold the top left corner along the fold 5 line so that it touches the centre crease of the paper. 6. Do the same for the top right corner by folding it along the line marked fold 6. 7. Now fold the paper back along the original fold 1 line (marked as fold 7 in the diagram to the left) so that the whole sheet is folded in half. 8. It's time for the wings - fold the paper back along folds 8 and 9. You should now have a high-speed paper dart plane! There are a few other things you can do to improve it:
Remember:never throw the plane at another person.
This plane will fly fast and has a sharp point at the front! Printable version of this guide:Paper plane guide [PDF file 397kB]For a great site dedicated to making paper planes (and made by a world record holder!), go to paperplane.org.
